Maciej Aleksander Bierut
My passion is cinema in any form without genre restrictions. I'm captivated by the constant search for the perfect balance between emotional depth and intellectual value. As a writer-director, I want to nurture my individual film language and follow the principle, that if you don't have something new to say, it's better not to speak at all.
I had the pleaseure to work with various companies and artists such as: Tomasz Kot, VOGUE, Kasia Lins, Universal Music, Piotr Głowacki, BOKKA, Maciej Orłoś, Julia Wieniawa, Martin Lange, Warner Music, Rafał Skarżycki, CANAL+, Czesław Mozil, Kayax, Aleksandra Domańska, PIAS and more.
I started telling my first stories around the age of 11. Using everyday household items and an old digital camera, I created a simple stop motion animation. The following years, I spent experimenting with various short forms - each project was kind of a film school on its own. As a wise man once said: "The best education in film is to make one".
Since then, I have worked as an editor, writer, producer and director. My projects include commercial work, music videos, short films and a documentary feature. Currently, I'm writing my debut feature film.
My motto is: suffering is temporary, film is forever.
